Looks like a bumper crop of “tunas” this year (tunas being the Mexican term for the fruit of the prickly pear or nopal cactus).

This is a new spring/summer design that is nearly finished, a shawl of alternating 1-ply silk and a lace-weight yarn of seacell.

This is my third attempt to create something that justifies this beautiful yarn. Because I started knitting 2 other designs first and then unravelled them, the yarn is rather kinky and will need considerable blocking.

I should have this piece up for sale on Etsy on Monday. I also have this yarn in a hot corally pink and a lilac so those should be following right behind.

Some of the knitted cotton (& 1 bamboo) I-cord necklaces I’ve been knitting to sell at the local crafts fair next week. I expect the weather to be warm and no one will want to try on alpaca shawls. And these are much less expensive!
