Scenes around the ranch today

This yucca tree is so magnificent, it is one of the major reasons I moved to this land.  And … there are 2 of them!

I think this is Indian Paintbrush.  Please tell me if I’m wrong.

Looks like a bumper crop of “tunas” this year (tunas being the Mexican term for the fruit of the prickly pear or nopal cactus).

Wildflowers

I adore the wildflowers that come out after the rains here.

They have such a charming simplicity.

I just walked around the property taking dozens of photos of an equal variety of plants.

It was hard to limit it to just these.  I hope this post doesn’t take too long for you to download.

It appears my donkey likes them too!
